Critical Minerals

Synergy supports mining companies that extract minerals crucial to the global clean energy transition. Critical minerals like nickel, copper, zinc, and tungsten are essential for renewable energy, battery storage, and decarbonization.

Therefore, it is vital that our global economy prioritizes the recovery of these minerals through recycling and that any raw minerals are extracted more responsibly with minimal climate impact.

Synergy does not currently work in non-critical minerals, such as gold, silver, or other minerals that are not part of the critical pathway to a low-carbon future.

We assist early-stage mining and exploration companies in evaluating the intensity of their operations’ greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and reimagining low-carbon opportunities. We currently offer services to critical mineral companies in Canada, the USA, and some European countries.

We provide comprehensive Life of Mine (LoM) emissions modeling to project greenhouse gas emissions across the entire mine lifecycle. This modeling identifies key emission sources and quantifies their impact, helping to inform strategic decisions and prioritize emission reduction opportunities as part of your decarbonization plan.
Our team supports feasibility studies with expert guidance on incorporating sustainable practices and low-carbon technologies. We assess the feasibility of emissions reduction strategies and provide insights into cost-effective solutions, ensuring that decarbonization is embedded into planning and decision-making from the outset.
Our workshops for senior leaders review ESG best practices and assist in crafting a comprehensive sustainability strategy rooted in these principles.
