We are so proud to share that our CEO and Founder, Jill Doucette, has been named Tourism Business Person of the Year at the 2026 BC Tourism Industry Awards Gala, held on March 5th at the Delta Hotels Grand Okanagan Resort during the BC Tourism Industry Conference.

This award is a tremendous honour and a reflection of Jill’s unwavering dedication to transforming the way businesses think about sustainability, climate action, and their role in the world.
Since founding Synergy Enterprises, Jill has been a tireless champion for regenerative business. Under her leadership, our team has worked alongside organizations across all sectors, from tourism and aviation to ports, critical mining, and sustainable events, helping them transition from conventional operations to genuine sustainability leaders. Whether that means conducting climate impact assessments, building decarbonization strategies, or helping businesses communicate their sustainability leadership, Jill has always believed that doing good and doing well are not mutually exclusive.
Jill is also one of the four founders of the IMPACT Sustainable Travel & Tourism Summit, a powerful platform dedicated to accelerating sustainability across the global tourism industry.
“This recognition means so much, not just to me, but to the entire Synergy Enterprises team and to every business that has had the courage to put climate action at the heart of what they do,” said Jill. “Tourism is one of BC’s greatest treasures, and I believe our industry has a powerful role to play in building a regenerative future. This award inspires us to keep pushing forward.”

We are incredibly grateful to the Tourism Industry Association of BC and the broader BC tourism community for this recognition. It fuels our passion and strengthens our commitment to empowering businesses to lead in corporate climate action.
