Refrigerants and the Montreal Protocol
Overview September 1987: the United Nations made history. For the first time ever, universal ratification was achieved when all 197 countries signed the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. 30 years later, this treaty is still considered one of the most significant contributions to mitigating global climate change. Simply known as the Montreal Protocol, this treaty was finalized when the importance of the ozone later was just starting to be understood
